What does the N in Pro N stand for?
For competition-law reasons, N versions ship without pre-installed media components (Windows Media Player among them). In every other respect they are identical to the regular Pro edition, and the media features can be added back free of charge with the Media Feature Pack.
Is the licence tied to one device?
Yes. This is a volume licence: it is meant for activation on a single computer and stays tied to the machine it was activated on. If you want to be able to move the licence later, choose the retail version instead.
